Terms and conditions

  • Check in is from 3pm and check out is 10am on the day of departure.

  • The property is expected to be left on time and in a clean and tidy state.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited on all areas of the sanctuary. If you wish to smoke, you will need to go outside the front gate onto the lane area.

  • Personal property is your responsibility and we will not be liable for any belongings lost or damaged during your stay.

  • We ask that children are supervised at all times.

  • We reserve the right to terminate your permission to stay at Pen Bryn Twrw immediately in the event that you or those in your party are in breach of these or other Terms and Conditions or are conducting anti-social behaviour contravening site rules or endangering staff or other visitors,  creating an unreasonable amount of damage to the property or contents or you exceed the maximum occupancy limit for accommodation. In the event of termination, you are asked to leave the accommodation and site immediately. There will be No Refunds.

  • Please leave keys in the key safe.

  • Pen Bryn Twrw will be cleaned and sanitised after every stay. You are responsible for leaving the house in a tidy manner before you leave and put all rubbish in the appropriate bins.

  • Please be mindful of others. No loud music, sound does travel in open space.

  • No fireworks or Chinese lanterns to be let off.

  • Any breakages or damages to be reported to us immediately so we can buy replacements or make repairs.



All bookings are non-refundable. Full payment is to be made upon booking, which includes a £100 refundable security deposit. The £100 deposit is refunded after your departure and the accommodation has been checked over by sanctuary staff to ensure no large damage or breakages have been made.

Cancellation Policy

  • All bookings are non-refundable. In the current situation of Covid 19 we will offer to move your holiday to another date where possible.

  • We recommend you take out Travel Insurance to insure against any cancellation you may be forced to make.

  • The owner is not liable for refunds or expenses incurred by the client in the event that the owner is prevented from fulfilling the clients booking as a result of circumstances beyond the owners control such as War, Terrorism, Riots, Bereavement, Sickness or technical problems, Industrial action, Flooding, Natural disaster, Epidemics, Health risks or such similar events. Thus the owner recommends you take out insurance. Should there be a failure in utility service, e.g water, heating, electric, sewerage,  Please notify us asap if the failure extends 12 hours from notifications for health and safety reasons you will be asked to leave, and your accommodation fee for the duration lost will be fully refunded or you can rebook for another time.


Reservation Policy

  • Check in time: 3pm
  • Check out time: 10am

  • Check in and out days are Monday and Friday only

  • Payment in full on booking

  • No refund for early departure

  • If you would like to make a change to your confirmed booking then please email or phone us

  • Checking in is by key code box, Keycodes will be given in email closer to your arrival date

  • Payment will be taken by STRIPE or Paypal when booking online via our website, payment can be made by BACS.
    A confirmation email will be sent to confirm your booking. Please check your booking summary to ensure all details are correct.

  • Checking in is a self check-in procedure that also meets our Covid 19 Policy. Your key will be in a key box, Please ensure that the key is placed back in key box before you leave.

Covid 19 Conditions of stay

To reduce the risk of transmission to us and our guests we kindly ask you to:

    • Adhere to our check-in at 3pm and checkout at 10am so we can air the property as much as we can and thoroughly clean the property before next guests arrive.

    • Hand sanitiser is in all the properties.

    • On departure, place duvet cover, pillowcases, sheets and towels in the bath.

    • Sort out all rubbish and waste appropriately in recycling bins 

    • Should anyone in the booking party develop any Covid 19 symptoms during their stay then you are requested to return home and arrange a Covid test and self isolate in line with government guidelines. Please inform us of the outcome of this test.

    • Should a guest develop Covid 19 symptoms immediately after their stay then the guest must inform us as soon as possible.


A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted to stay at the Farmhouse. There is a Surcharge of £25 per dog to be made payable upon booking. A Dog etiquette form will be emailed to you to ensure you sign.

All dogs(s) are to be kept on a lead and under your control at all times as there will be free ranging animals on the site including around the house and in the garden.
Please do not let your dog(s) worry, chase or otherwise cause distress to the animals in any way. Please keep your dog(s) off the sofas. There is a baby gate on the stairs and dogs are not permitted past this point in order to keep them away from the carpeted areas and beds for the hygiene of other guests.

The dog(s) are your responsibility and in the unlikely event that your dog or dogs are causing any problems to the animals onsite, you will be asked to leave and no refund will be issued for your booking.


Pen Bryn Twrw and idlewild Animal Sanctuary does not accept liability for any loss or damage of property, vehicles or vehicle contents to any member of the booking party during their stay.
